"在（布里特县的）上河卡尼，很多地方都被毁了，但人们还在那里。他们正试图运来瓶装水，供人们洗衣服、洗盘子。

她说，"有福之水 "提供的索耶PointONE净水器能让一个家庭 "每20分钟装满一个5加仑的水桶"，使用的水来自附近的卡尼溪或收集的雨水。

"这是个大问题。他们或多或少都要露营几个月，"劳特修女说。

该地区负责协调滤水器分发工作的医生卡西-马歇尔博士（Dr. Kassi Marshall）表示，虽然开水警告仍很常见，但大多数受灾社区的供水服务已逐步恢复。一些居住在偏远山丘的灾民仍在等待。
